Clabby & Edwards Wedding / by brandon burkhardt

I had the privilege of shooting my friends wedding, Abraham & his bride to be, Leigh-anne. It was such a fun day. Leigh-anne was the first bride to allow me to dictate the photography schedule and timing. Of course it was a conversation, but she ended up changing a lot of the day of schedule around some of the suggesting we discussed.

When I arrived a lot of the ladies were still getting ready and still in 'no guys allowed' time. So, I spent that time getting shots of all the gentlemen getting all fancied up.

ie - spending obscene amounts of time trying to figure out how to tie the coolest tie I have ever seen!

As the ladies were not yet ready... dress shots were appropriate at that moment.

They still had some final touches before I was allowed to enter... so...

To the groomsmen photos!

 Chaos ensued...

And, at that time the ladies were almost ready for a guy to enter the room... so I waited for just a bit.

Being sure to catch all the angles...
After doing a few more pictures of getting ready, we went on to do the first look quickly followed by some shots of the brides maids and the entire wedding party.

Here is what a stunned groom looks like:

This image still makes me cry. His appreciation of her... her joy in his response = tears.
Crying now... need tissue.

This man had no problem expressing his emotions about his daughter!
Tears again... stop it!

Why is the wedding party in the background cooking in the sun?
Well, besides to add color and interest... because i told them too. Love those black shirts! (Evil Grin)

Once that was done... then we were well on our way to the ceremony... Apparently there was a moment of confusion for the groom...

The bride was less confused... the grooms humor was spot on. He had the entire... um... grass... err... room.... COURTYARD... it came to me... in stitches for about 5 minutes!

Bottom line... the worked it out...

So they celebrated...

He was nice. There was no cake in the face anywhere...
Boys will be boys...

AND THEN... they were off...
to the bridal portraits...  Which...  I will post later... AHHHHhhhhhhahahaha....

Seriously though... I will be posting them soon! But these folks were SOOOOOOooooo much fun to be around and enjoy their wedding. They are a comical two people and both families are so amazing. Their friends (admittedly some of which are my family =-)) are amazing people to hang around and were so helpful with rounding up people and just BEING available for the photos.

Until next time...
